Due to a job transfer, my wife and I were in the market for a new home. Since we lived out-of-state I only had a week to find a home before I started my job. At first I was searching for homes closer to my job, in the Thornton area. I only found one that fit the bill for what I was looking for but I still wanted to see if there was another home that was more artistically designed. I contacted a realtor and we decided to look at the availability in the Greeley area.
With so many homes on the market I saw about 60 new and resale homes. My realtor setup a showing for a Serenity home model in Pumpkin Ridge knowing that the setup of the homes was not what I was looking for. Tracy, Lighted Plant Legend of the marketing agents for Serenity Homes, was holding an open house on that home that day. After talking with her she told us about “The Rebecca” another Serenity Home model that she felt would be a perfect fit. I loved the artistic features that Tom (Owner of Serenity Homes) incorporates into his homes!
My wife was only able to view the pictures of the home before we bought it. Our home has a great open floor plan, lighted art niches and plant ledges, rounded corners, and we absolutely are crazy about the finished basement with theater room and custom wetbar! Tom is a true artist and a very personal builder. We feel that we got a lot more bang for our buck compared to all the other homes in our price range. We love the attention to detail and all our home has to offer.

Hi my name is Katie Snyder and I was asked to provide you with a testimonial of our experience building with Tom Kennedy out in Grapevine Hollow. I was told I could say what ever I wanted, and I can guarantee you what your about to read is based on my families experiences and dreams and was in no way propositioned to do this. We just firmly believe in the quality and workmanship in the home we bought.
My husband and I picked out a model of Tom’s called the Lynette. We had fallen in love with it when it was used as a model home for people to walk through and see all the details that the home had to offer. As we walked through the upstairs of the model home we knew this was a perfect fit for us and we wanted a home like this before we ever went downstairs. When we finally did get downstairs, that more than sealed the deal! There was a gorgeous bar and can I tell you about the movie room! We could have moved into that room and would have been happy. After that our minds were more than made up and we decided to get going on where we wanted to build. We picked a perfect lot and had Tom bump out the back wall 2 feet just to give us a little extra room. The building process started shortly there after and what a blast. Everyday we would come out to see the progress of our home and to take pictures of each and every stage. By the framing stage we met Tom at what would be our new home to talk to him about putting in some picture niches for our family room. From there we decided on a few things we’d like to have done like the shampoo cubbies in the shower, a back door that had a blind in between two panes of glass, a water fountain downstairs that turned out to be a surprise of a lifetime for me when we did the final walk through, and the most important thing for us, was when our patio was scheduled to be poured we wanted to be out here so as a family we could put our handprints and the date in the step out to the patio. Tom was absolutely amazing. He made sure all of our requests were made and done to perfection. He let us really make this our home and let us put in our touches that were so very important to us to have done, and if it weren’t for Tom and Tracy I can say honestly this wouldn’t feel like the home that it is.
By the time the final walk through came about we were in amazement of how wonderful everything looked. We had noticed right away that the ceiling was very different than the way it had looked about a week earlier. Well come to find out on one of Tom’s many trips here he had walked in the front door and the sun hit the ceiling just right to where he noticed he could see all seams from the drywall. This did not make him very happy so with it being only four days until closing he had the people come back and re-do the ceiling so that it would be up to his standards-and can I tell you –That’s pretty high! When it was all said and done we had a beautiful home upstairs and down, we had landscaping done also, which for us was a godsend, they did a fabulous job, and we had the home our dreams. As for today a year later we are still in love with our home and we can’t give Tom and Tracy enough praise and thanks for all the hard work did getting everything done that we wanted.
For three years we researched other homes, other builders basically the whole city of Greeley and Serenity homes was the one that went above and beyond our expectations. Every Serenity home buyer here in Grapevine is like a family and is treated like one, so if you’re thinking of doing the big move it will be the best decision you will make. There is no way you will regret doing this. We have been sooooo happy that is why I jumped at the chance to write you this. I would love to hear back from you especially if you would like pictures of our home so you could see first hand all the detail that goes into one of Tom’s homes, no matter what model you choose. I promise you won’t find the arched door ways, the theater room, the plant shelves, or the love in any other home.

I purchased a home from Tom Kennedy and I just wanted to say that from ground breaking thru completion it was truly a great experience working with EVERYONE involved. Any and all questions I brought forth were rapidly answered and always to my satisfaction…from picking out carpet and tile to what light to be used in the Theater room.
I had walked into the model in Mountain Vista in Greeley in December of 2005 and was quite impressed with the upstairs layout and then when I walked downstairs and saw the additional features that Tom builds into his homes I was amazed!! I remember walking upstairs and saying to you…”I will write you a check right now” and Tracy then informed me that that home had already been sold BUT they had another floor plan that I might be interested in…the Estelle. Well after viewing the plans and seeing the location I immediately jumped on the “Serenity” band wagon! You introduced me to Tom Kennedy and Stan Birney and the rest was history.
So now after seven months in my home I must say I enjoy it more with each passing day!! Everyone that has been here to visit from out of “towners” to local friends have all had wonderful things to say about my home.
I cannot thank you and the whole Serenity team enough in helping build such a wonderful home.
